Attract the ‘ghouls’ and ‘ghosties’ to your bar this Halloween, by serving up some super spooky Halloween drinks. Clenaware have put together a top 10 of tipples for this October 31st, and it includes everything from a Screaming Banshee to a Vampires Kiss.....You can even add some ‘wormy’ ice cubes, to keep your brews cool...So let’s help get you into the spirit Mwahahahahahaha!!!!

Clenaware will make you feel positively ghoulish when you give the following easy recipes a try!

The Bloody Scary Mary

This simple but devilishly delicious cocktail is said to be named after the Queen ‘Bloody’ Mary, who was given her ominous title because of all the Tudors she had killed during her reign. So this makes this particular Cocktail very apt for the Season.

You will need:

2 Ice cubes
Double shot of Vodka
The juice of half a Lemon
6 Dashes of Worcestershire Sauce™ (adjust to taste)
3 Dashes of Tabasco Sauce™ (adjust to taste)
150ml Tomato juice
1 large Celery stick
Pinch of Salt & black Pepper

Place the ice into a tall glass and add the Vodka. Add the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce™ and Tabasco sauce™ and stir well. Slowly pour in the tomato juice then sprinkle with the salt and pepper (to taste), pop in a Celery stick (maybe add some little plastic insects for effect) and serve straight away.

The Bloody Scary Mary

Bride of Frankenstein

You will need:

Double shot measure of Sparkling Wine

4ml Chambord Black™ Raspberry liqueur

4ml Pineapple juice

Raspberry on a cocktail sword (to garnish)

Pour the Chambord™ and pineapple juice slowly into a Champagne flute. Slowly add the sparkling wine so that the bubbles from the fizz, just start to run over the edge of the flute. Add a fresh Raspberry pierced with a cocktail sword and sit this across the top of the flute, the Raspberry is to replicate the broken Heart of said doomed Bride.

Bride of Frankenstein

The Green Goblin

A very boozy concoction which contains not one, but THREE liqueurs!!

You will need:

1 shot Midori™ Melon Liqueur

Half a shot Strega™ Liqueur

Half a shot Domaine de Canton™ Ginger Liqueur

Ginger beer

Add the 3 liqueurs into a shaker glass with ice and shake what your mamma gave ya! Pour over lots of ice cubes into a Collins style or large wine glass, top up with Ginger beer and serve.

The Green Goblin

Mad Eye Martini™

This delicious tipple is garnished with an edible eyeball, a sure fire way to get your customers feeling creeped out.

You will need:

Half a shot of Hpnotiq™ Liqueur

1 Shot of Vodka

Double Shot of Lychee juice

Lychees (peeled and dried out)

¼ tsp of Jam (must be Strawberry or Raspberry as it is red in colour to look like blood)

Blueberries (for the centre of the ‘eyeball’)

Pour the liqueur, Vodka and Lychee juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake really well and strain into a Martini™ style cocktail glass.

To make the eyeball:

Fill the centre of the Lychee with the jam and push the blueberry into the centre of the jam. Skewer the Lychee with a cocktail stick (Halloween themed ones look great) and sit this across the top of the glass.

Mad Eye Martini

Pumpkin Spice Martini™

Ideal for the Season, as the Pumpkin Liqueur can usually only be bought at this time of year.

You will need:

Half a shot of Whiskey

1 Shot of Pumpkin Spiced Liqueur

Half a shot of Triple Sec™

Quarter shot of Anise™ Liqueur

3 Dashes of Angostura™ Aromatic Bitters

Nutmeg (to garnish)

Pour the Whiskey, Pumpkin liqueur, Triple Sec™ and Anise™ liqueur into a cocktail shaker and shake, shake, shake! Strain over ice into a Martini™ style cocktail glass. Add 3 dashes of the bitters to the liquid and then grate nutmeg over the top, pop in a Jack-o-lantern cocktail stirrer and serve.

Pumpkin Spice Martini

Screaming Banana Banshee

This blood curdling brew should have your punters screaming for more...

You will need:

Double Shot of Vodka (Vanilla flavoured is an extra treat, if you can get it)

1 Shot of Banana Liqueur

1 Shot of Cacao White™

1 and a half shots of Double cream

1 and a half shots of Milk

Half a Banana (save a slice for garnish)

Take all of the ingredients and blend with a stick blender. Pour into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake thoroughly. Pour into a highball glass and add a slice of Banana to the rim of the glass and serve immediately.

Screaming Banana Banshee

Squashed Frog Shooter

This little beast may look gross, but it tastes divine and is a great drink to get the party started... Sorry Kermit!

You will need:

15ml of Midori™ Melon Liqueur

10ml of Advocaat™

10ml Baileys™

2 dashes of Grenadine™

The method of getting this drink right can be a little tricky and requires a slow steady hand so that all of the drinks separate correctly. Add a few dashes of the Grenadine ™ into a tall shot glass, and then slowly pour the Advocaat™ over the Grenadine™. Pour the melon liqueur, again slowly over the Advocaat™ and then float the Baileys™ on top.

Squashed Frog Shooter

Vampires Kiss

If you want a drink with some bite, then this will be right up your street. You can even serve it with a set of plastic Vampire teeth dropped in it for an extra spooky surprise!

You will need:

Sugar Syrup

Red food colouring (to add to the sugar syrup)

1 Shot of Vodka

Half a shot of Chambord™

Champagne (or fizzy wine will do if you can’t afford to be that extravagant)

Mix the sugar syrup with red food colouring and rim the edge of a Martini™ style cocktail glass with the mixture. Apply it liberally so that it drips down the sides of the glass. Pour the Vodka and half of the Chambord™ into the glass and then top up with the Champagne. Pour the rest of the Chambord™ over the back of a spoon so that it appears to float on top of the drink and serve.

Vampires Kiss

Witches Brew

Hubble bubble, toil and trouble. This spooky looking brew will cast its magic spell over anyone who drinks it.

You will need:

1 Shot of Blue Curacao™

1 Shot of Peach Schnapps™

Double Shot of Vodka

Cola (or Lemonade if you want a brighter looking blue effect)

Sugar (or popping candy would add extra affect)

Black food colouring (don’t add this if using popping candy)

Liquorice laces (to garnish)

Put all of the shots into a cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly. Add a drop of food colouring to the sugar and rim the edge of a high ball glass, or rim the glass using the popping candy. Fill the glass with crushed ice and pour in the mixed shots. Top up with Cola and add a few liquorice laces draped over the edge of the glass to look like spiders legs and serve.

Zombies Blood

Too many of these and you could turn into a Zombie as it’s quite a potent concoction.

You will need:

1 Shot of Barcardi™

1 Shot of Sailor Jerry™ (or just dark rum)

1 Shot of Orange Curacao™

Half a shot of Lemon juice

Half a shot of Lime juice

1 and a half shots of Orange juice

Lychees and Blueberries (for the eyeball garnish)

Pour the shots into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain over ice into a high ball glass and then pour a little more of the dark rum over the back of a spoon to float on top. For the eyeball garnish, push the blueberries into the centre of 2 Lychees and skewer these with a cocktail stick and sit this on the edge of the glass and serve.

Zombies Blood

Wormy Ice Cubes

And finally, to add a little extra creepiness to any of the recipes above, try adding some wiggly, wormy ice cubes to keep the brews cool.

You will need:

Edible jelly worms

Ice cube trays

Fruit Juice (any flavour, although cranberry or blackcurrant gives a better visual effect)

Arrange your jelly worms into the ice cube trays, usually 1 worm per cube (dependant on the size of the worms). Fill each cube compartment with the fruit juice and freeze until solid. Add these little devils to any drink just before serving. If you don’t fancy jelly worms, try add some plastic Halloween themed spiders or flies into the cube trays.

Wormy Icecubes

Happy Halloween everyone and have a Fang-tastic time!
